problem! The only thing we ask from you is a minimum order of 15 cards to cover
the extra cost of typesetting and printing. An example of overprinting inside
the cards is to the right.

How
do we achieve such high quality prints? Our prints are created from high-resolution digital images
scanned directly from original paintings using
the best quality ink and paper/card stock available. This results in colour
saturation and graphic detail that exceeds most other types of image
reproduction.
The process we use is call Giclée. The word 'Giclée'
(pronounced Gee'clay) is French and means to squirt or spray. Because of
this
new technology conventional screens are not required and therefore you will not
be able to identify the usual annoying dot
pattern associated with traditional
reprographics. This new approach to fine-art printing also means that the whole
range of tones and hues from the original painting can be reproduced. Add this
to the fact that Giclée can be printed on virtually any surface from high-gloss
flat surface, to watercolour or canvas and you will appreciate the fact that we
can bring you a print that almost exactly mirrors the original!.
Even museums have realized the vast potential of this technology and have made
Giclée editions a permanent part of their collections, including the
Metropolitan
Museum of Art (New York), Museum of Modern Art (San Francisco) and
Museum of Contemporary Art (Los Angeles) to name a few.
Why
do we use Giclée?
Apart from the vastly improved
reproduction of our artwork as discussed above, this technique
also means that
all orders are generally executed on the day received and the printing process
and quality control is carried out and assessed by the only person eligible -
the artist him/herself!
How do I pay for my prints or cards? 1. Most of our clients find it easier to pay on-line using Paypal. This is a
secure, fast, online facility enabling you to use any of the more popular credit
or debit cards. A confirmation email will be sent to you immediately and,
because we do not have to wait for cheques to 'clear', your order is usually
sent the following day. If you do not have a Paypal
account do not worry. Setting up an account is easy and only takes a few
minutes. Just click on:
https://www.paypal.com/
2.
Payment can also be made without opening a Paypal account by using any of
the above credit cards. Just make your purchase choice, click on the "Add to
Basket" logo, and follow on-screen instructions.
3. Payment by post. Just send your order details and payment (GB cheque, money
order or bank draft in GB pounds payable to Peter Kitchin) to: Celtic Christmas
